Sandcastle Contest

Do you have what it takes to make the very best sandcastle?
Register for the contest onsite the day-of. Some tools will be provided (pails, shovels, and rakes). Your own tools are welcome. No additives can be used (just sand and water). Only objects found on the beach can be used.
Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. and groups have until 12:00 p.m. to sculpt. Judging will follow and prizes are provided.

In an effort to make Elk RiverFest inclusive for all abilities, the city has partnered with Sherburne County Public Health, ISD 728 HOPE Program, and Spark 2 Hope to provide a sensory space.
The Sensory Tent is an area for attendees with special needs to take a break and relax.

The Naturalist will bring live animal ambassadors from the Zoo who will help us share our mission in connecting people, animals and the natural world to save wildlife.
